Why isn’t my discount code working?
There can be several reasons why a discount code isn’t working at Celtic WebMerchant. Check the following points:
- Terms and conditions: Read the terms in the email with your discount code. Your order must meet these requirements.
- Combining: Discount codes can’t be used together with other discounts. Do you already have a discounted product in your cart? Then the code won’t work.
- Number of codes: You can only enter one discount code per order.
- Validity: Check the date in the email. An expired code will no longer work.
- Typo: Make sure you entered the code correctly. Use copy and paste instead of typing it out to avoid mistakes.
- Previously used: Some codes can only be used once.
- Logging in: Many codes are personal. You need to be logged into your account so Celtic WebMerchant can recognize the code is meant for you.
- Collection: Some codes only apply to a specific group of products.
- Minimum amount: Sometimes the code only works if you order a certain amount of items.
Sometimes a code doesn’t work because of the webshop’s software settings.
This can have the following technical reasons:
- Cache and cookies: Your internet browser saves old information. Because of this, the system might not recognize the new code. Clear your cache and cookies and refresh the page.
- Spaces: If there’s a space before or after the code, the software sees this as a wrong character. The code won’t work then.
- Capital letters: The system distinguishes between uppercase and lowercase letters. The code must be entered exactly as it appears in the email.
- Browser version: Are you using an outdated internet browser? Then the field for entering the discount code might not load properly.
- Server processing: Sometimes there’s a short delay in the connection between the website and the Celtic WebMerchant database.
