Why can't I simply declare that I am 18 or older?

A personal statement is not legally sufficient for purchasing certain products. This applies to products that fall under Dutch weapons law. It also applies to other products with an age restriction.

What is the organization’s obligation?

Celtic WebMerchant has the following obligations:

  • We must actively verify the customer’s age.
  • We must use a valid ID for this verification.

Without this active ID check, Celtic WebMerchant is not allowed to deliver the products.
