What happens to my data?

Your identity information is not stored in a database.

How does the process work?

When a staff member has completed the check, the following happens:

  • The staff member only records whether your age has been verified.
  • The staff member records whether you are 18 years or older.
  • The staff member then immediately deletes the files containing your information.

Why are the files deleted?

The files are deleted because Celtic WebMerchant is not allowed to keep a copy of your ID. Only the confirmation of your age remains in the system for future orders.
