What is the difference between returns, damage/non-conformity, and warranty?
Return
A return means you send the product back because it wasn't what you expected after purchase.
This could be, for example:
- You decided you don't want to keep the product
- The product didn't meet your expectations
- It looks different than it did in the photo
- The size doesn't fit
- The finish isn't what you hoped for
Damage / Non-conformity
This means the product is damaged or doesn't meet what you could reasonably expect.
The cause could be a manufacturing defect or damage during shipping.
Examples:
- A part is loose
- The product arrived damaged
- The product has a manufacturing defect
- The measurements of a clothing item don't match the size chart
Warranty
Warranty means the product turns out to be faulty during use.
Example:
- A hairline crack in a sword blade during use
