My package was delivered to the wrong address, what now?
It is very frustrating when tracking indicates that your package has been delivered, but it was delivered to the wrong address. In this situation, it is important to act quickly.
Follow these steps to still track down the product:
1. Check the details in the tracking
Review the tracking information from the delivery service very carefully again.
- Location and photo: There is often a specific description (for example, "with the neighbors" or "in the parcel locker") or a photo of the delivery location is taken.
- GPS coordinates: Delivery services often record the exact location of the scan. If you contact the carrier's customer service, they can see if the driver was really at your door.
2. Inquire in the neighborhood
It often happens that a delivery person delivers the package to the neighbors without leaving a note.
- Neighbors: Stop by your immediate neighbors.
- Old address: Have you recently updated your order details? Check if the package was accidentally sent to a previous address.
3. Contact the delivery service
Since the delivery person physically left the package at the wrong place, the carrier is the first point of contact for the driver.
- Call the delivery service's customer service and indicate that the tracking shows "delivered," but the location is incorrect.
- They can directly ask the driver where the package was delivered. Often, the driver can pick up the package the same day and deliver it to you.
4. Report it to us
Is the delivery service unable to trace the package directly? Then contact us.
- Investigation: As the sender, we can initiate an official investigation with the carrier.
- Solution: If the investigation shows that the package cannot be traced, we will arrange for a new shipment of your product or a refund.
Note: Did you make a mistake in the address when ordering? Then the responsibility unfortunately lies with you, and the costs for a possible new shipment are at your own expense. Always check your order confirmation carefully!
