Can someone else pay for my order?
Yes, that is certainly possible! This can be useful if you receive an order as a gift, or when a purchase is paid for by an employer or client.
How does this work in practice?
You can arrange this in various ways during the ordering process at Celtic WebMerchant:
- Payment by another person: You can place the order yourself with your own shipping address, but use someone else's payment details (such as the credit card or bank account) at checkout.
- Order as a gift: The person who pays can place the order and enter your address as the shipping address. In that case, the invoice will be in the name of the payer.
- Business payment: Is the order being paid for by a business? You can enter your company's billing details at checkout, even if the package is being sent to a different (private) address.
Important considerations
Keep the following rules in mind with these options:
- Name on the invoice: The official VAT invoice will always be issued in the name of the specified billing address.
- Permission: Always ensure that the payer has explicitly given permission for the use of their payment details.
VAT number: For business purchases within the EU, you can provide your VAT number during the ordering process for correct administrative handling.
