Why is the amount on my bank statement different from the amount on the website?

The amount on your bank statement may differ slightly from the amount shown on the website. This can happen for the following reasons:

  • Exchange rates: Are you paying in a currency other than euros? Your bank uses its own exchange rate, which changes constantly. The bank sets the final rate at the time they process your payment.
  • Bank fees: Some banks charge extra for international payments. They may also charge fees for converting to another currency. These fees are not included in our price.
  • Rounding: Small differences of a few cents can occur due to currency conversion.

What can you do?

  • Check your bank statement to see if your bank has charged any extra fees.
  • Contact your bank for an explanation about the exchange rate or any fees.

The amount on the VAT invoice from Celtic WebMerchant is always exactly the amount we have received from the bank.
