Does picking up cost extra?
No, in most cases, picking up your package at a pickup point costs nothing extra. In fact, it is often one of the most economical and efficient ways to receive your order.
Below we explain how the cost structure works:
No additional service fees
When you choose a pickup point, you pay the standard shipping costs applicable to your region and the weight of your product. The pickup point itself does not charge you for storing or handing over the package. They receive compensation from the delivery service.
Cheaper than home delivery?
With some delivery services, selecting a pickup point is even cheaper than delivery to your door. Because the courier can deliver many packages to one location, they save costs, and this discount is sometimes passed on to you in the shipping rates you see in our checkout.
What should you be aware of?
Although the pickup itself is free, there are a few situations where you might indirectly incur costs:
- Storage period exceeded: If you do not pick up the package within the specified period (usually 7 days), it will be returned to us. As mentioned earlier, the costs for a second shipping attempt are then at your own expense.
- Parking fees or transportation: Depending on the location of the parcel shop, there may be local parking fees.
- Import costs (outside the EU): If you live in a country outside the European Union, VAT and import duties still need to be paid. Sometimes you can pay these online via the tracking link, but in some cases, you must pay this amount at the pickup point counter before they hand over the product to you.
In short: Choosing a pickup point is a safe, flexible, and often economical choice for receiving your order!
