What is not normal to see on the packaging upon receiving the package?
Although we prepare our packages with the utmost care, the journey from our warehouse to your address can sometimes be rough. However, there are a few things that are not normal and require immediate action.
Upon receiving your product, watch out for the following signs:
1. Opened or torn packaging without official tape
It is normal for customs to open a package, but they always seal it with official customs tape or tape from the delivery service.
- Not normal: A box that is simply open, with loose flaps, or sloppily sealed with ordinary, transparent tape without any official stamp. This may indicate theft or careless handling.
2. Severe deformation or holes
Our boxes are sturdy, but not indestructible.
- Not normal: Large holes in the cardboard that a hand can fit through, or a box so crushed that the shape of the product is visible from the outside. If the box is "leaking," smaller parts (like screws or jewelry) may have been lost.
3. Moisture spots or odor
Our products, especially steel swords and chainmail, are sensitive to moisture.
- Not normal: A box that feels soft or soggy from water, or that has a strong mold or burning smell. Moisture can cause rust on your product even before you have unpacked it.
4. Rattling sounds (for fragile items)
Although we use a lot of packing material, a shipment with ceramics or glassware should never sound like a "bag of gravel."
- Not normal: If you gently shake a package with fragile goods and hear glass or pottery clinking, it is likely that the internal protection has failed.
What should you do if you see this?
If you notice any of these issues upon delivery at the door or pickup point:
- Take photos immediately of the exterior before opening the box.
- Report the damage to the courier: Have a note made that the package was received damaged.
- Refuse the package if in doubt: If the damage is clearly catastrophic, you can refuse the shipment. It will then return directly to us.
- Contact us: Send the photos and your findings to our customer service. We will ensure it is resolved.
Have you received a package that looks strange, but the contents are still intact? Then fortunately, there is nothing wrong. You can report complaints about this to the delivery service.
