What if I discover damage to a product only after the first use?
When you discover damage after you have already used the product, this has direct consequences for the handling with us.
Here are the key points to keep in mind:
- Use is acceptance: Once you start using a product, we consider this as acceptance of its condition.
- Claim expiration: You must not use the product once you have discovered damage and wish to file a claim. If you continue to use the product after the damage has occurred or been discovered, in most cases, your right to a free replacement or full refund will expire.
- Distinction with maintenance: Note that issues arising from use, such as rust on steel due to fingerprints or humidity, fall under your own responsibility for maintenance. We do not reimburse damages caused by inadequate maintenance after use.
- Preservation of condition: For a valid assessment, the product must remain exactly as it was at the time you discovered the damage. Use can affect the original damage, making it impossible for us to determine whether it was a transport or production error.
Our advice: Always thoroughly check your order immediately upon receipt and before first use. If you discover defects at that time, do not use the item and contact us immediately.
