When is it not worthwhile to file a damage claim?

Submitting a damage claim is not always the right course of action. Sometimes a product meets the quality standards expected for its price range, or there are slight variations inherent to handmade items.

In the following cases, submitting a damage claim is not advisable:

  • Slight visual deviations: The product slightly differs from the photo or the lighting in the photo is different from reality.
  • Finish: The finish of the product is disappointing.
  • Realistic expectations for price range: A sword costing less than 150 euros is not perfectly balanced or perfectly straight.

Realistic expectations

For products from Celtic WebMerchant, it is important to have realistic expectations that match the price. A perfectly balanced and flawless sword typically costs hundreds of euros. From a lower price range (under 150 euros), the same perfection cannot be expected as from a product in a higher price range.

Handmade products

Our products are handmade, which means that small differences can occur. These variations are not considered damage or defects, but as a characteristic of the production process.

What can you do?

All these situations fall under the regular return procedure. If you are not satisfied with the appearance or finish of the product, you can of course decide to return the item within the reflection period (if residing in the EU).
