Wat if a product looks different than in the photo?
We do not consider slight differences between the delivered item and the images on the website as damage or as an incorrectly delivered product. It is important to know that many of our items are handmade, which means that small variations in finish or details are simply part of the production process.
Here are the guidelines for when you find a product looks different:
- Slight deviations: Things like a slightly different lighting effect in the photo or slight variations in visual details fall under the regular characteristics of the product. For example, a slightly deeper shade of red than in the photo. Or a drinking horn that has more white than black compared to the photo.
- Consider the product text. There are some products like guinea pig Louis or rabbit Roger that are delivered in a color depending on current stock. This is clearly stated in the product text. By purchasing the product, you have agreed to this. You may, of course, return it at your own expense if the product in a different color is not what you were looking for.
- When is it a wrong delivery?: A claim is only applicable when the received product is completely different and in no way resembles what is depicted in the photo.
- Regular return: If you are not satisfied with the slight differences or the finish of the item, you can always choose to return it within the legal cooling-off period of 14 days via the normal procedure (if residing in the EU).
In short: as long as the product fundamentally matches the image, we see small differences as an acceptable part of the handmade nature of our collection.
