Within the warranty conditions of Celtic WebMerchant, "normal use" is defined as using a product for the purpose and intensity for which it is designed. What is considered normal varies by product category:

Weapons and Swords

For swords, normal use is highly dependent on the specifications of the steel and the assembly.

• Application: A sword must be used within the intensity for which it is suitable. Pay attention to the type of steel, hardness, and the product description.
• Warranty Limitation: Breaks in the blade or assembly errors during intended use are covered by the warranty. However, damage to leatherwork, scabbards, crossguards, and pommels is not covered.
• User Damage: The occurrence of burrs on a sword due to steel-on-steel contact during fights is considered user damage or normal wear and tear, not a manufacturing defect.
  
  Examples of damages from normal use of weapons, not covered by warranty:
  -Burrs on blade
  -Damage to scabbard
  -Dried-out leather
  -Damage to wooden - leather grip
  -Loose axe blade
  -Wear marks on sword
  -Wear marks on grip
  -Bending of tang construction after intensive use

Armor and Clothing

For armor and clothing, the period of use and the nature of the activity determine what is considered "normal".

• Stress Resistance: Each armor has a certain degree of stress resistance. It is normal for armor to be damaged during use, especially since many weapons are designed to damage armor. This usage damage is not covered by the warranty.
• Wear Parts: Wear on leatherwork, rivets, and the normal weathering or drying out of leather in clothing and armor fall under the normal period of use and are not covered by the warranty.
  
  Examples of damages from normal use of armor, not covered by warranty:
  -Worn leather inner glove
  -Detached buckles
  -Detached straps
  -Dried-out leather
  -Loose rivets
  -Broken rivets
  -Scratches on surface
  -Scratches on interior
  
  Examples of damages from normal use of clothing, not covered by warranty:
  -Discoloration after some time of use
  -Drying out of leatherwork
  -Seams coming loose after some time of use

General Rules for Normal Use

• Maintenance: It is your own responsibility to properly maintain products (such as steel and leather). Damage due to rust, drying out, or poor maintenance is not considered a result of normal use under warranty.
• Consistency: When making a claim, we assess whether the damage pattern matches the explanation of use. If a product shows extreme wear after one use that does not match the described action (such as a blade full of burrs), this is not accepted as normal use.
• Modifications: Once you repair or modify a product yourself without our written permission, the right to warranty is void because the original state of normal use can no longer be determined.
