Are customs documents attached to the outside of the package?

Yes, for shipments going to countries outside the European Union, we are legally required to attach customs documents to the outside of the package. This is necessary so that customs in the destination country can determine the contents and value of the shipment. With some carriers, such as UPS or Fedex, this information is sent digitally.

Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Transparent pouch: The documents (such as the customs invoice and the CN22/CN23 form) are placed in a transparent, self-adhesive pouch on the box.
  • Contents description: These documents contain a brief description of the product and its associated value. This is necessary for the calculation of any import duties and VAT in your country.
  • Within the EU: Are you ordering from a country within the European Union? Then no customs documents are placed on the outside, and the packaging is completely discreet, except for the shipping label.

By correctly attaching these documents to the outside, we ensure that your package passes through customs control as quickly as possible and is not unnecessarily delayed.
