Why is there no paper packing slip in my package?
You may notice that there is no paper packing slip in the box of your order. At Celtic WebMerchant, we have consciously chosen not to include this document physically by default.
Here are the main reasons for this choice:
Sustainability and Environment
As part of our sustainability goals, we try to minimize the amount of paper we use. By not printing packing slips for the thousands of orders we process, we save a huge amount of paper and ink annually. This aligns with our use of recycled packaging material for your product.
Digital Availability
All the information that is normally on a packing slip is already in your possession digitally. In our systems, order processing is also done digitally, on scanners and computer screens. This is not only more environmentally friendly but also easier to find:
- Order Confirmation: In the email you received immediately after your order, there is a complete overview of all products.
- Your Account: If you have an account with us, you can view and download your invoice and the overview of your items at any time under 'Order History'.
Privacy and Security
If a package is unexpectedly damaged during transport or opened at a pickup point, your personal information and an overview of the value of your purchases are not immediately exposed. Your digital invoice is securely protected behind your own login details.
Exception: International Shipments
For shipments outside the European Union, we are legally required to attach documentation to the outside of the package for customs. Although this is technically not a packing slip for the customer, this invoice does contain information about the contents of the shipment.
Do you still need the packing slip?
If you need a physical overview for your own administration or for a return shipment, you can easily print the invoice yourself from the confirmation email or your account environment. Having trouble? Feel free to contact us, and we will send you the digital version again.
