Can I have someone else pay for my order?

Yes, that's definitely possible! This can be useful if you're receiving an order as a gift, or if a purchase is being paid for by an employer or client.

How does this work in practice?

You can arrange this in several ways during the ordering process at Celtic WebMerchant:

  • Payment by someone else: You can place the order yourself with your own shipping address, but use someone else's payment details (such as their credit card or bank account) at checkout.
  • Order as a gift: The person paying can place the order and enter your address as the shipping address. In this case, the invoice will be in the payer's name.
  • Business payment: Is the order being paid for by a business? During checkout, you can enter your company's billing details, even if the package is being shipped to a different (private) address.

Important things to keep in mind

With these options, please note the following rules:

  • Name on the invoice: The official VAT invoice will always be issued in the name of the provided billing address.
  • Permission: Always make sure the payer has given explicit permission to use their payment details.

VAT number: For business purchases within the EU, you can enter your VAT number during the ordering process for proper administrative handling.
