Why is my delivery day constantly changing in the UPS tracking email?

When you order from us outside the EU and your package is shipped via UPS, the tracking information can sometimes be confusing. This often relates to customs clearance.

Below we explain how to best interpret the UPS tracking status:

  • Customs delay: Your package may be held at customs for a few days to several weeks for inspection and processing.

  • Incorrect delivery time: As long as the package is at customs, UPS often automatically indicates that delivery will take place the next day. This shifts a bit each day.

  • Ignore the standard notification: You should ignore this daily notification of a new delivery time as long as the package has not left customs.

  • Government release: Only when the tracking shows the notification that the package has been "released by the government agency", can you assume it will be delivered the next business day.

  • No notification?: As long as this specific release notification is not present, you should assume that the package is still at customs.

Important to know: At Celtic WebMerchant, we are not the same company as UPS. We have no influence over the pace of customs or the accuracy of UPS tracking during this phase. Therefore, we ask you to closely monitor the tracking and wait for the official release.
