I received a refund confirmation, but not the refund itself?
After Celtic WebMerchant cancels a product from your order, the money is automatically refunded. This is done through the company's payment provider (Shopify Payments).
The following rules apply in this situation:
- Account: The payment is refunded to the account used for the original payment. If you paid by credit card, the payment is refunded to the credit card.
- Processing time: It takes an average of 1 to 3 business days for the refund to be processed. This depends on your bank.
- Name on bank statement: The name Celtic WebMerchant will appear on the bank statement.
- Date on bank statement: Some banks do not show the refund on the date of the refund, but under the date of the original payment of your order.
What should I do if the amount is not in my account after 3 business days?
If you have not received a refund after 3 business days, you should take the following steps:
- Check the name on the bank statement: Use the search function in your bank app to look for the name Stripe or Shopify Payments. The refund may be under this name and not under Celtic WebMerchant.
- Also check the date of the original payment: Some banks do not show the refund on the date of the refund, but under the date of the original payment of your order.
- Check the processing time with your bank: It takes an average of 1 to 3 business days for the refund to be processed. This depends on your bank.
- Contact customer service: If you still cannot find the payment, send an email to Celtic WebMerchant.
What information does Celtic WebMerchant need?
To check the payment, you need to include the following information in the email:
- The order number of the order.
- The date on which the cancellation was confirmed.
