What does it mean if I receive a message about a refund or credit note?
A message about a refund or a credit invoice means that Celtic WebMerchant is refunding an amount to you. This happens automatically via the payment method you used, such as a bank account or a credit card.
There are three reasons why this might happen:
- Stock discrepancy: An item in the order was not available. The credit invoice specifies which item this concerns. In this case, you will also receive a discount code for free shipping. This allows you to choose another item yourself.
- Return: You have returned a product and Celtic WebMerchant has completed the processing.
- Cancellation: You have requested to remove a product from the order yourself.
I received a credit invoice, but the money is not yet in my account.
A credit invoice is the official proof that the refund has been created in the system. It may take a few business days for the bank to process the payment and for the amount to be visible in your account or credit card.
