What does it mean if I receive a message about a refund or credit invoice?

A message about a refund or a credit invoice means that Celtic WebMerchant is refunding an amount to you. This happens automatically through the payment method you used, such as a bank account or credit card.

There are three reasons why this might happen:

  • Stock discrepancy: An item in your order was not available. The credit invoice will specify which item this concerns. In this case, you’ll also receive a discount code for free shipping, so you can choose a different item yourself.
  • Return: You returned a product and Celtic WebMerchant has completed the processing.
  • Cancellation: You requested to remove a product from your order.

I received a credit invoice, but the money isn’t in my account yet.

A credit invoice is the official proof that the refund has been created in the system. It may take a few business days for the bank to process the payment and for the amount to appear in your account or on your credit card.
